UNIC, in partnership with the JMG company, is the creator and producer of the ECS. JMG get itself quite a reputation by launching the Paris Cinema Fair (Salon du Cinema), a unique event where 70 000 cinema lovers have the chance to meet all the professionals of the movie industry and discover the line-up of the coming year.

UNIC, the International Union of Cinema, is the union of national associations of cinema owners of eighteen mainly European countries (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Luxemburg, Norway, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey, Ireland), and represents more than 28,000 screens with more than 900 million annual admissions covering about 375 million inhabitants. UNIC has established contacts with international organizations in the industry, distributors, producers and film technology industries. UNIC also keeps in constant communication with the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) and MPAA.
